About Katherine
Katherine Ginise is an FEI Dressage rider, based in the USA. She is a United States Dressage Federation Bronze & Silver Medalist. In her first year as a professional, she helped horses and riders of all ages and skill levels reach their goals and have fun in the process. She has a passion for teaching, while instilling confidence and positivity in every ride.
Katherine began her riding career at the age of two years old, starting proper dressage training at the age of 8 years old. She grew up showing her pony, sheep and dogs in 4H. Growing up as a typical horse-obsessed girl, she could not stay away from the barn.
Having the opportunity to work at various boarding facilities beginning at a young age, she gained vast experience and education in barn management and riding a variety of horses. She enjoyed learning the basic ropes of jumping and eventing, followed by two years of hunter jumper training with the Interscholastic Equestrian Association before deciding to focus seriously on the sport of dressage.
Katherine has spent three seasons in Wellington, Florida for daily professional training and winter competitions. Katherine has trained horses from the basics to FEI. She has been fortunate enough to ride all kinds of horses throughout the USA and in Europe, appreciating every single lesson learned from each horse.
Katherine graduated from The Ohio State University, magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion, Nutrition and Exercise Science and minors in Bioethics and Global Public Health. Katherine hopes to continue her education and passion for dressage, in addition to exercise science and nutrition. She has always had a focus on health and wellness, and believes in the importance of feeling your very best - for yourself and for your horse!
